Working in the clinch and in the pocket (diary entry)

My 1.5 hour client continued made more progress with his Muay Thai in tonight’s class. After the previous class’s focus on developing more flow, we looked more into transitioning between the close and clinch ranges.

This was covered in the following 3-minute rounds:

  1. One-for-one punching
  2. One-for-one kicking
  3. Boxing and elbows
  4. Boxing and knees
  5. Kickboxing
  6. Clinching with elbows
  7. Clinching with knees
  8. Hold clinch versus escape clinch and kick
  9. Ditto
  10. Toe-to-toe
  11. Clinching with all strikes
  12. Free sparring

The lesson was finished with static and PNF stretching.
