Transitioning to Arm-Bar (diary entry)

Hour five of my client’s Submission Grappling course continued our arm-bar focus. After the usual sport specific warm-up we trained the following rounds of 2-minute sparring:

  1. S-mount to arm-bar position attack/break grip and escape (right arm)
  2. Ditto
  3. S-mount to arm-bar position attack/break grip and escape (left arm)
  4. Ditto
  5. Full mount with double-under-hooks to arm-bar position and escape (right arm
  6. Ditto
  7. Full mount with double-under-hooks to arm-bar position and escape (left arm)
  8. Ditto
