27.02.21 Saturday morning’s first lesson was my client’s third hour on training stand-up fighting combinations for rhythm and flow. We are currently going back through all the 14 combinations and training them on virtual focus mitts. 07.10.19   Monday night saw the second hour of my client’s second Muay Thai for Martial Arts Cross Training where we began our focus on countering techniques, tactics and strategies. This culminated in three technique-based rounds of pad-work looking at linear strikes, round strikes and clinching knee strikes.   We began with a warm-up of mirror footwork, one-for-one technique exchanges, agility ladders and agility cones. 09.05.18   Today’s lesson at Kingham Hill School was supposed to address anti-grappling, but I decided to focus on a few striking fundamentals before moving onto this section of the training. We looked at developing power in the straight hand strike, revising pre-emption and recovery before moving onto kicks.   The class warmed up going through the basic postures and transitions off the ground, increasing intensity with each repetition. 30.12.15 The third lesson of my client’s second course in Muay Thai and Kickboxing for martial arts cross-training continued the same side striking theme and also looked at efficient countering to kicks as well as the 45 degree round kick.
