19.07.21 Monday night was hour two of my couple’s 10 hour course on switch-hitting in kickboxing. We warmed up with the three-part switch-hitting drill, consisting of transitioning from orthodox to southpaw and from southpaw to orthodox using punches and kicks. Then we focused entirely on fighting from southpaw and using two combinations that helped to develop the strategy. 10.05.21 It was hour four of my couple client’s rhythm and flow padwork combinations on Monday. We went over combination four that feels like a Dutch/Thai hybrid. It has a lengthy punching combinations including a weave/roll before sandwiching in a rear horizontal elbow and a lead spear knee. 14.04.21 Today my first client continued working on different angled strikes with the stick and was introduced to double sticks. My second client reviewed the first three combinations and then we covered combinations four and five. Stick training began with reviewing the first two angles. 07.04.21 With Covid restrictions being lifted to allow outdoor one-to-ones that permit certain activities, I taught the nephew and uncle team on sticks and focus mitts. 29.03.21 Reaching hour nine of my two clients’ second course on rhythm and flow stand-up fighting combinations, we covered the seventh combination. This combination chains together strikes from the head to the body to the head to the body to head and back to the body. 20.02.21 Saturday morning’s lesson saw my client focus entirely on combinations 6 and 7. This is the second hour of his new 10 hour course on stand-up striking combinations. We are continuing with the previous combinations covered in our last course but transferring them onto focus mitts. 13.07.20   The eighth hour of my client’s second MMA course (submission grappling/ground-fighting specific) arrived at the full-mount. This position is an especially difficult as the mount is one of the strongest positions in symmetrical ground-fighting.   The lesson began with the usual warm-up of ground-fighting callisthenics and dynamic stretching, moving onto pin transition drilling between my client and her lockdown partner.
