02.02.21 Tonight my teacher consultancy covered their 14th and final combination to promote rhythm and flow in stand-up striking. We then went through the next two combinations to be covered by their school. Much of the lesson became a focus on better transitioning through economical footwork and using the momentum of previous technique. Stand-up Combination Workshop Series 1 (diary entry)

04.01.21 My second lesson of Monday was the first in a series of workshops on stand-up fighting. On the instructions of my teacher client, we are looking at one combination each half hour lesson. Tonight’s combination was jab/cross/slip/cross/hook/rear body round kick/shin-check/rear body round kick/hook/low round kick. I broke down certain component parts such as slipping and the execuion of the Thai style round kick.
