We worked through all the MMA ranges. This began with boxing, focusing on footwork and combinations. Then we addressed a tactic for chasing the liver punch to wear down an opponent Next we moved on muay Thai, blending punches and kicks. We looked at the tactic of chasing a low round kick to the lead leg. Then we overlapped muay Thai with wrestling with the clinch range. We looked at two different clinch positions for delivering knees and kicks. This moved onto the standing arm triangle, working knees. We then performed the take down into the arm triangle submission. Next we looked at a standing clinch hold that could be changed into a shoulder lock. Then we used the shoulder lock to set up for a single leg takedown. This nicely led into other single leg takedowns. At my client’s request, we revised the Americana key lock from side control and mount position.
