As per yesterday’s lesson, we began work on four sweeps with my client from Athena School of Karate. This was prefaced with our usual five minutes of flow sparring.

The quarter step sweep was tested with and without knee strikes. We also looked at how the takedown might be done without the actual foot sweeping action. Interestingly, the Thai dump was comparable to a Karate takedown my client had recently been teaching to her students.
