Tonight's two-hour lesson took my couple clients over hours six and seven their Wrestling course. Following on from last week's single legs we tackled the double-leg takedown. The lesson comprised of several exercises designed to promote better level changing and penetrating with the knee. A key element (and often an area of difficulty) was to place the outside leg on a diagonal line of force. By stepping out to the side and pushing from this angle along with the upright head, the wrestler breaks the opponent's posture entirely.
Games included leg-tag, leg-tag from grips, starting in the takedown position and freestyle sparring.
