My 1.5 hour client took a break from his regular MMA training to focus on some Boxing. I devised the following sequence of 3-minute sparring rounds to isolate and then layer in important skills and strategies:
- Foot-stepping (foot work)
- Shoulder tag (upper body reactions)
- Foot-stepping and shoulder tag
- Jabs only
- Lead hand only
- Attack versus defence
- Ditto
- Lead hand versus rear hand
- Ditto
- Inside box versus outside box
- Ditto
- Attack versus counter-attack
- Ditto
