Thursday night’s lesson continued my after-school Mixed Martial Arts class at Kingham Hill School. We brought in some extra techniques for the stand-up and clinch ranges.
The lesson began with a warm-up of dynamic stretching and sport-specific callisthenics. Then we did some line-work, training basic punching with backwards and forwards footwork. The jab was coupled with the cross and then we moved into Kickboxing with the introduction of the Thai low round kick. We also coupled the jab with a double leg takedown.
