Having worked on attack and defence for a while before the randomised sparring interlude last lesson, tonight our focus went back to the all-important flow. My 1.5 hour client has now begun work on feeding better counters, looking for opportunities presented in a fight and making sharper decisions. The following 3-minute rounds reflected this new training emphasis:

  1. One-for-one punching
  2. One-for-one kicking
  3. One-for-one knees or elbows in the clinch
  4. Clinch entry versus defence
  5. Ditto
  6. Punches (attack) versus kicks (defence)
  7. Ditto
  8. Attack versus counter-attack
  9. Ditto
  10. Clinch only sparring
  11. Freestyle
  12. Ditto
