My new client joined me for my second lesson on Monday night. We are focusing on Boxing and today began with an overview but became more focused on defence, followed by improving body shot defence.
2-minute rounds:
- One-for-one sparring within restricted space
- Lead hand only sparring
- Jab to the head and jab/cross to the body
- Defence only sparring
- Defence only sparring (improve body shot defence)
- Counter versus attack (check body shot defence)
3-minute rounds:
- American style pad-work
- Ditto
45 second rounds with 15 second active rest (head movement):
- Jabs only
- Jab/cross only
- Jab/cross/cover
- Jab/cross/body defence
