Counter-Boxing (diary entry)

We reached the final our of my couple client’s current Boxing course. They have both decided to continue with using Boxing as a great basis for helping to build the rest of their martial arts training. Tonight we focused on countering.

Training consisted of the following 2-minute rounds:

  1. Bodyguard sparring
  2. Ditto
  3. Ditto
  4. 2-on-1 angle attacks and defence – boxers take it in turns to attack fighter in the centre squares – boxer in centre can only counter incoming attacks
  5. Ditto

  7. Straight punches versus hooks and uppercuts
  8. Ditto

  10. Attack versus counter
  11. Ditto
