Techniques should be instinctive. They should be borne out of experience and evolution. Here we teach instinctive responses to targets. The student doesn't need to be told what his technique will be. The target dictates the response. Likewise, the student doesn't stop hitting a target until the target is covered or put down.
This method of teaching focuses on a single technique and by using two coaches allows for a full physical critique of the technique's execution. Please note this is the first time all three students were introduced to this model.
This demonstrates the concept of flash-pad focus mitt work. As you can see there are a wide variety of ages and abilities. This particular drill looks at attack only. The next is defence only. The third puts the two together.
