About Jamie Clubb
An eighth-generation member of a travelling show business family, Jamie Clubb has led an extraordinary life that has allowed him to place his own unique spin on teaching self-protection and martial arts.
Jamie began his formal martial arts training in 1990 and has trained in a multitude of disciplines. From the 2000s onwards, he wrote for a variety of publications on self-protection, martial arts, and combat sports, including national newspapers and martial arts magazines. He created, wrote, and presented the best-selling documentary series "Cross in the Training Martial Arts," bringing together some of the UK's top practical and traditional martial arts teachers.
He has also produced several books, online courses and a podcast. He founded CCMA (Clubb Chimaera Martial Arts) in 2004.
After closing his regular club in 2014, Jamie focused on providing bespoke services to private individuals, heads of companies, and chief instructors of martial arts clubs and associations. He owns a private gym exclusively for personal training clients. Jamie divides his services up under two broad categories: self-protection (self-defence and personal security) and martial arts (combat sports). His services include private lessons (one-to-one, couples, and small groups with regular workshops), seminars (national and international), teaching consultancy, online courses, and remote learning. He regularly works with complete beginners and experienced professionals.
